The ChariTREE Foundation (TCF) is the kid’s environmental learning charity. TCF is a registered Canadian environmental charity established to help the planet by creating and supporting tree planting projects that benefit kids. Children are the future guardians of the planet so it’s important to empower and educate them about the environment now before it’s too late.

You can help The ChariTREE Foundation grow by making a donation, joining our Facebook page and / or spreading the word about the important work we are doing. Everyone at The ChariTREE Foundation is dedicated to educating kids about the environment and generously volunteers their time. Under the direction of Executive Director Andrea Koehle Jones and the board of directors, The ChariTREE Foundation:

(a) organizes and participates in children’s environmental learning projects that involve tree planting and donating trees for planting.

(b) gifts funds to qualified doners (as defined in subsection 149.1(1) of the Income Tax Act) that benefit children and the environment and increases the Foundation’s reach.

This summer (2010), The ChariTREE Foundation has partnered with The Canadian Camping Association to plant almost 10,000 trees across Canada. Kids at 47 summer camps will have the opportunity to plant a Wish Tree, make a wish for the planet and return each summer to see how their tree has grown thanks to the generosity of ChariTREE donors.

The ChariTREE Foundation operates in Canada and Love Trees, our global kid’s tree planting and environmental education partner, is planting trees in Zambia and Kenya and next Haiti. Last year, ChariTREE and Love Trees executive director Andrea Koehle Jones was in Copenhagen during the climate talks and the Kwazulu-Natal planting trees with kids. Watch video.

Trees are powerful tools that can teach us about ourselves and the planet.
